GROW Focus

MBC Family,

As we continue to focus on GROWING in Christ in the year 2020, we recognize that there are a lot of distractions that try to draw away our focus and attention.
Living in particularly uncertain times, oftentimes can bring worries, fears, and much anxiety. Yet, in the midst of uncertain times, we can be certain that our God is unchanging, and remains completely in control!

As we seek to GROW in the month of September, we want to refocus on what God’s Word tells us, and find confidence in Him.

As we have done earlier in the year, we want to encourage each of you to seek to GROW in Christ in the month of September by memorizing God’s Word.

Specifically, we have chosen verses that remind us that God is with us, He is in control, and that we need not be consumed with worry, doubts, or fears.

We trust as we memorize these Scripture passages together, we will find confidence, encouragement, and joy as we GROW in Christ.

Philippians 4:6-7
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Isaiah 41:10
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Joshua 1:9
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."

Romans 8:38-39
“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."
